AWACL was born from the belief that no woman should have to shrink in spaces she was created to shape. Through world-class learning and a deeply African lens, the Academy is cultivating leaders whose impact will be felt for generations.
Paidamoyo C. Maringwa is an accountant, leadership strategist, confidence coach and public speaker whose work is centred on preparing African women to lead with confidence, emotional intelligence and influence. Holding an Honours Degree in Accounting from the University of Zimbabwe, she brings a rare blend of business acumen, strategic thinking and human development to leadership education.
As Founder and Executive Director of the African Women's Academy for Confidence and Leadership (AWACL), Paidamoyo is championing a new approach to women's leadership development, one that recognises confidence and emotional intelligence as essential leadership competencies rather than optional personal qualities. Under her leadership, AWACL equips women with the mindset, practical skills and leadership capacity to excel in their careers, businesses and communities.
Her vision is to see confident, values-driven African women shaping organisations, influencing policy, building sustainable enterprises and leading meaningful change across the continent.
